The pandemic-struck world has added new colours to the functionality of the world. Since the spread of coronavirus, people have been choosing new ways to work, celebrate, and experience life. Where every country is managing the pandemic in their own ways, India tops the recovery rate chart with 92%. Thanks to all the COVID-19 warriors, administration, and people’s effort for curbing down the needful. With all done and said, India foresees the days of glory back again and have already started with the celebrations.
An economy that thrives on the prominent festivals witnessed a plunge in the graphs of growth and development for almost 8 months now and is slowly getting back. Where sectors like aviation, hospitality and tourism are still struggling, digital media and traditional media got a boost like never before. Amidst all the chaos, people in their free time increased their screen timings and switched to social media platforms and other online entertainment channels. Social media applications which saw a surge in usage are – WhatsApp (92%), Facebook (80%), YouTube (84%). WhatsApp conferencing saw 80% hike whereas Skype saw a 41% hike in usage during the days of lockdown in India.
The pandemic made Indians celebrate festivals like never before. Where mass gatherings were not possible due to the new rules implied, people celebrated the union digitally through their favourite sized screens. Marriage is a never-ending festival in India. With a population of 1.3 billion people and 34.3% being youth, marriage stands as a forever celebration in every part of the country. Where new rules like maximum permissible count for marriage attendees were set to 50 people, many chose to go a step ahead and hosted the event live on Facebook and other social media platforms. Ganapati – an avid celebration of lord Ganesha for 10 days saw new ways of celebration through the help of digital media. This also helped in curbing down the pollution rate of the country as travel and idol immersions got confined. After many years river Ganga was measured/recorded as the cleanest in 70 years. For the first time in decades, Himalayas were visible from Saharanpur which was celebrated vibrantly across the state. Deers were spotted roaming in residential areas, peacocks danced on the streets of Mumbai. Pandemic not only paved the way for new ways of celebrations for humans, but it also allowed animals to enjoy the new world.
At Paranjape Schemes, we understand the significance of nourishing such ways of celebrations. And to continue this habit, we celebrated ‘Ganarang’ – a festival exclusively crafted for all the Paranjapaens that is celebrated over dance and décor competitions, and other engaging events that further the bonding amidst the community. However, this time with the pandemic being a deterrent, we came along digitally. Paranjapeans celebrated ‘Ganarang’ in new colours with the help of digital and came forward with more poise and zest than ever before spelling the strength of community and togetherness.
At Paranjape Schemes, we celebrate each moment to the fullest which helps us rise together even in scenarios like coronavirus. Where the strings of new normal ask for responsible celebration, we stand a step ahead with the entire essential in place to make it grander than before. In addition to this, our beloved ‘Happiness Network’ upholding its legacy continued permeating the sense of oneness through celebrations. Even during the lockdown, it helped Paranjapeans keep connected and paved ways for new celebrations. With all such happenings around at Paranjape Schemes, we ensure to celebrate ‘The spirit of New India’ in its truest essence by committing ourselves to the well-being of everyone associated with Paranjape.
